Black Mountain retreat

Situated in the hinterland of Black Mountain, this renovation transformed a serene bushland property into an elevated retreat that captures natural light and panoramic views. The design sought to reconnect the home with its tranquil surroundings while enhancing its livability and style.

Working with a sloped site and forest setting, the build required careful structural planning, landscaping integration and weather-resilient materials. Large-format glazing, custom timber finishes and natural stone elements were selected to complement the environment. Outdoor decks and elevated living areas were designed to make the most of the outlook, while indoor zones were opened up to encourage flow and connection.

The result is a refined and peaceful home that feels deeply rooted in its setting, offering both a sense of escape and modern-day comfort for family living.
